There is extensive evidence in the remaining words of the bible which prove there is no pressure for the Jews to build a temple on the site where the Islamic Dome of the Rock now stands.
When Jesus was here, He participated in some acts which prepared Christians and Jews for this moment. His words, and the words of His prophets, show there is no advantage at all for islam over the bible when they hold that piece of property. It has been abandoned.
In John 4.21-24 Jesus said to a woman at the well in Samaria, a time is coming when you worship God neither merely on this mountain or neither merely in Jerusalem. He went on to say to her that in the future people will worship God in spirit and in truth (reality). Jesus also referred to Himself as a temple in John 2.19.
The biblical prophets contain many verses which support the position of Jesus. When we take a look at the words they need fulfilled, none of them could be fulfilled inside a building on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
A disciple of Jesus wrote about this issue in Revelation 21:22. There it says I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Himself and the Lamb are its temple.
Zechariah gave credit in verses 6.12-13 to those who were constructing a temple. But then he went on to say the Messiah will build the true temple of the Lord. Zechariah is saying Jesus will do things greater that could ever be achieved inside a building. Later on in Zechariah, we can see what he is getting at. In 14:4-5 he delivered a parable where God shows up and slays the wicked. The Jews are supposed to be able to tell through scripture when this is about ro happen so they are well prepared for the event. This action can not be fulfilled in a building.
When Stephen was stoned to death in Acts 7, he quoted Isaiah 66:1. This verse states, Thus says the Lord: Heaven is My throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house would you build for Me? Isaiah goes on to say in 66:6. Hark! An uproar from the city! A voice from the temple! The voice of the Lord, rendering recompense to His enemies. God’s enemies should be regarded as those who shed innocent blood.
The remaining words of Isaiah could not be fulfilled inside a building. In chapter 18, he said a worldwide warning will be issued from a very powerful country. This statement needs miraculous technology to be invented so everybody would be able to hear the warning.
Ezekiel in 9:6 regards the temple as a place where those who do not grieve well around the shedding of innocent blood are set to be killed by God in a miraculous intervention.
Daniel 11:36-45 contains some acts of indignation by God and his biblical figure against killing both in and out of the womb. These acts can not be carried out inside a building.
The words that fulfilled the choice vine of Jacob are described extensively on this website. The action there proves God’s intimacy with murder victims. This support from Jesus and His prophets is much more valuable thsn anything that can happen in a building.
It is best for biblical followers to proclaim they would rather have perfect, unfolding strategy on their side than a building.
